I was born in Homberg/Efze in 1979 and grew up in a small village in northern Hessen. Today I live as a photographer in Berlin.

I work worldwide on personal and commissioned projects in the field of documentary and conceptual photography. The interest of my personal projects is the photographic approach to the characteristics and atmosphere of places and the people connected to them. Open encounters with my protagonists and an interest in their stories, desires and their context to society are an important part of my photographic work.

I studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover, Germany and graduated in 2007 with a diploma. My work has received international awards at competitions and has been exhibited in Italy, Poland and Germany.

As a photo duo, I have been working with the photographer Michael Kuchinke-Hofer on various projects since 2016.

Since 2021, I have also been increasingly involved in educational work and art outreach through workshops and project weeks in schools. This is something I feel very strongly about, as it helps to nurture young people’s creativity, self-efficacy, social skills and understanding of democracy.

I am a member of female photoclub and Freelens.
